Apple Vision Pro headset launching in US on Feb 2nd, preorders start Jan 19th.

Apple announced in a press release that the Vision Pro will be released in the US on February 2nd, with preorders starting on January 19th.

According to the product page of Vision Pro, preorders are scheduled to commence at 5 p.m. Pacific Time on Jan. 19.

The organization also announced that the Vision Pro would include prescription lens inserts priced at $149, with a storage capacity of 256 GB.

Apple's shares experienced a 0.75% increase during premarket trading on Monday.

Apple launched its long-awaited $3,500 headset at the 2023 Worldwide Developers Conference, directly challenging Meta's Quest headsets.

Apple CEO Tim Cook announced on Monday that the era of spatial computing has begun, with the headset powered by Apple's M2 chip, also used in their computers.

Apple's Vision Pro is the tech giant's latest product, entering a new category after the successful Apple Watch launch in 2015.  

However, industry analysts predict limited initial revenue for this  headset. UBS estimates around $1.4 billion, which is considered  relatively insignificant.
