Multiple reports indicate that a shooting occurred near a recreational center in Ohio on Friday night, resulting in the death of one individual and several other victims, including juveniles, according to authorities.

A significant number of law enforcement officers rushed to the scene of the incident that occurred on Betton Street, situated in the West End district of Cincinnati, at approximately 9:30 p.m., as reported by the Cincinnati-based news source WLWT.

During a press conference held at the vicinity of TQL Stadium and Laurel Park, Chief Teresa Theetge of the Cincinnati Police Department revealed that a total of six individuals had been shot, tragically resulting in the death of one male. Regrettably, no information regarding the age of the deceased or the other victims was made available. However, WCPO reporter Sean DeLancey reported that at least two of the victims are suspected to be teenagers or children.

According to reports from WXIX and WLWT, Theetge stated that they are collecting all the necessary evidence to ensure that justice is served for the individuals involved. Theetge expressed their disappointment and frustration over the recent shooting incident that occurred in the city, stating that it is unacceptable for such incidents to happen on a Friday night. Additionally, Theetge emphasized that such occurrences are happening too frequently and need to be addressed.

It is not immediately clear why the shooting started, and Cincinnati police have not provided any information on a possible suspect or suspects at this time.
