1 dead, multiple injured in Cincinnati West End shooting : police

Chief Teresa Theetge of the Cincinnati Police Department reported that six individuals were shot, with one male victim having succumbed to his injuries.

Authorities in Ohio have reported an incident near a recreational center on Friday night, resulting in one death and injuries to multiple victims, including juveniles.

Many law enforcement officers quickly responded to an incident on Betton Street in Cincinnati's West End district around 9:30 p.m., according to WLWT.

During a press conference held at the vicinity of TQL Stadium and Laurel  Park, Chief Teresa Theetge of the Cincinnati Police Department  confirmed that six individuals were shot, with one male fatality. 

The ages of the victims, including the deceased, were not disclosed,  although it was reported by WCPO journalist Sean DeLancey that at least  two of them were believed to be teenagers or children. 

The urgency of gathering substantial evidence to guarantee the  prosecution of these individuals was stressed by Theetge, as reported by  WXIX. 

Theetge expressed concern over the frequent incidents of six people being shot in our city on a Friday evening, calling it unacceptable.

The reason behind the commencement of the shooting remains unclear, and the Cincinnati police have refrained from disclosing any details regarding a potential suspect or suspects presently.
