In the initial fortnight, Super Mario Bros. achieved an impressive sales figure of 4.3 million units.

Nintendo's latest 2D platformer Super Mario Bros. Wonder only debuted on the Switch last month and it's already a huge success.

Nintendo's most recent financial report discloses that within a mere  fortnight, the aforementioned title achieved a remarkable feat of  selling 4.3 million units worldwide.

This unprecedented accomplishment solidifies its position as the most  significant and rapidly-selling Super Mario-related release to date.

This title is likely to be a hit with consumers during the holidays and beyond, as Super Mario games have a track record of steady sales.

Nintendo acknowledges in a footnote that this data is seemingly restricted to games launched for the "Wii and Nintendo DS onwards," marking the commencement of software sell-through data collection.

Nintendo's recognition of the Super Mario Movie's "global excitement" is acknowledged as a contributing factor to the substantial sales volume of Wonder.

Upcoming titles for the Switch console include Super Mario RPG, Princess Peach: Showtime!, Luigi's Mansion 2 HD, Mario Vs Donkey Kong, and Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door.
